| Arrived this day at Nelson, New
Zealand and anchored outside the Boulder Bank. the 'Nelson' Steamer sailed for Wellington
2 hours after our arrival. Rowed about two miles this morning with Felix Wakefield, Shaw,
Farrington, Wallace and Gunin but the Ship getting a breeze was at anchor before us. NB for a/c of cargo landed at Nelson belonging to me see monday 1st May when most of it was ashore. |

in morning, In after ----- machine at Castles. Mason came and began about 3 ending about 6
to be 10/. without Mason ---- 7/6 for half a day and 2/6 for taking machine to ---
customer. Creasy called this evening and stopped to sleep. |

| A Beautiful day very warm. After breakfast got away about half past 11 with Arthur to palmers. Back, Waimia Village for firewood ----- lunch. Saw ----- there and he promised to call tomorrow and gave me letters for McHardy. Home in the dark crossing the River. Very tired and my eyes very sore |
